    This is the 6th season for the Big Sky Farmer's Market. The 2014 Big Sky Farmers Market will be held every Wednesday from July 9-September 3, excluding July 30, from 5-8pm at Fire Pit Park at the Town Center. Over 90 vendors featuring fresh produce, herbs, plants, flowers, baked goods, woodworking, art, jewelry, clothing and more. Additional vendors provide a fun atmosphere with food, beverages, and activities for the kids. So come to Town Center and enjoy the Big Sky Farmers Market.

18th Big Sky Chamber Annual Golf Tournament - September 5

    The 18th Big Sky Chamber Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m at Big Sky Resort’s Golf Course.  The tournament was started in the early 90s to support economic development in Big Sky and this is still the goal today.  Funds raised support the operations of the Visitor Information Center and general operations of the Chamber, whose mission is to support the development of a world-class resort community as Montana’s premier location to work, live and play.

    Participants will enjoy contests such as a hole-in-one opportunity, longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin for an opportunity to win great prizes.  Winners will split a 10% payout and players will have a chance to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets.  Cost is $380 per team or $95 per player and includes 18 holes, cart, range balls, dinner following golf, contest prizes and awards.

The Rut - a Mountain based Ultra-endurance Event - September 13

    Big Sky Resort and the International SkyRunning Federation and Salomon are sponsoring the second Big Sky based Rut - VK, 12k and 50k ultra-endurance races. The events include the Lone Peak Vertical Kilometer, the 50k race with a 31 mile distance and 10,000 ft.elevation gain and loss, and the 12k race with a 7.5 mile distance and 2100ft. elevation gain and loss. The terrain for the races will be mostly single track with a smaller amount of dirt road running. Register online at runtherut.com. For the best rates register by April 15, 2014.
